I wasn’t able to buy my dad his requested gift last Christmas. My schedule was so tight that I had to resort to some last minute shopping and just grabbed whatever it is on the displayed gift ideas on the store. Glad that the long sleeved shirt that we bought perfectly fits on him. But as I browsed on my list of gifts to buy, I saw his request about cigars. Specifically the Dutch Master cigars which has been his all time favorite for its distinctive flavor and aroma. Now I need to get some of it and bring it in our next visit to my parents’ place probably by next week. It’s been three weeks since our last visit to them.

DD called me up at the office yesterday and informed me that she already got her grades. She got improvement in some of her subjects though her grade in Math went down . But all in all, I am happy to note that she’s doing pretty well in school. At her age, I am proud to say that she already established a routine to check on her notes/ assignments early morning and do some of her assignments on her own without my assistance and only let me check on her answers afterward for corrections. She’s mature enough for her age to learn things on her own as she already knows how to tidy up  and fixes up her things as she checks out the school schedule in her diary, she knew what books and notebooks to bring at a specific day.

Summers is already a couple of months away. For now, we are enjoying here in our part of the world the cold breeze that holiday season has brought. According to the news, summer’s gonna be rainy due to La Niña- an ocean phenomenon atmosphere that can cause heavy rains. So we need to get ready for its future effect on us. But then again, it might be just the same old summer for us here, a dry and sweaty ones that is terrible to bear that you might really be needing to get an air conditioning unit especially during night times when you need to be comfortable in your sleep and rest.

Glad that we did invest in one last year, summer then is really scorching hot that an AC can only give you the relief and comfort that you need. Ours is in a good performance still and just in case we needed it fix, we have the ever reliable service center to get in touch with.
