is one of the staples in every Filipino occasions like Fiestas, birthday, christening, graduation parties, etc…is best eaten together with the pork liver sauce. And of course, the crispy and crunchy skin is the first to get eaten up! But hey, just eat in moderation as this is one source of health conditions for many as it contains high level of cholesterol, it’s just ok to indulge once in awhile, but for the folks out there, watch out or you might need to pop on those high blood pressure pills.

I must admit that I am no good cook and I really can’t cook any dishes aside from frying eggs and fish, instant noodles, poor poor me!   but I am so glad I have DH to do the cooking for us and he’s really into it. I must say that he got the talent since he loves doing so unlike me whose so afraid of the cooking oil when frying that I almost wanted to wear long sleeves and mask while doing so… pathetic me. lol! But then, I realized that as a mom I need to at least know the basics and do at least few dishes just in case DH is not around.

It is not just practical to just rely every time on deliveries as it is quite costly on the budget. I will be convincing DH again to teach me how to cook and I know he’ll be glad to do so. My mom, whose a good cook too have been lecturing me about it then when I was still single, she told me that it’s a must for every woman to know how to cook and do other household chores, Oh well, I am good at every other household chores except for cooking. I guess one really got the passion for it. We need to expose the kiddos too at their proper age, a good Family Cooking activity definitely sounds good and since summer is here, might as well do something productive activity like this and keep the whole family together in doing cooking activity. will ask the husband to prepare easy recipes and will start on easy to bake cookies and pastries that will surely be a big hit to the kids especially they love sweets, I on the other hand wanted to bake a cake. Let’s see what will happen by then. Hope it works!

As promised, DH was able to make it. Everyone was all praise as it did really taste good. Though the underneath crust wasn’t that perfect, since its kinda hard. It was all indeed good. My sister came with her Hubby and kid together with my brother and niece, a friend came in the afternoon too to greet and celebrated with me on a post birthday celebration.

He was able to make two medium size and the one small round which was topped with Mango slices sine the blueberry flavor tops were just enough for the two medium size and in which turned as Mango cheesecake that we did eat after dinner last Valentines Day hee
